What's new in Appy Weather 2024.01.10
The app now targets newer Android APIs, which results in two important changes: for the app to be allowed background location updates, give permission via the app’s system settings -> Location screen. You’ll need to change it so it’s allowed access all the time (not just when using the app). Also, you’ll be prompted to allow notifications if you’re a sub on launch.
Additionally: Past hours showing incorrectly for certain users should be fixed.

Appy Weather is privacy-first. It doesn’t collect or process any user data.
If location permission is granted, your location will be stored locally on your device – it’s never shared with a third party.
Your location enables hyper-local forecasting when the app is run. Widgets & notifications check your location in the background when they’re updated/sent.
