What's new in Samsung Family Hub 5.0.19
The following updates have been made for your convenience.
- View Inside: The image recognition feature now automatically identifies recognized food items with a name tag.
- Upload photos: Now, Videos can also be uploaded in addition to Photos.
- Family Board: You can add videos and Internet shortcuts to family board.
- Others: Minor defect updates have been implemented. Star rating has been added. Some shopping list specifications have been updated.

The new version of the Family Hub app. provides a faster UI and intuitive interaction.
Note: This is the companion app for the Samsung Family Hub refrigerator (fridge is required)
Known Limitations:
Compatible with Android 6 to Android 9. Not compatible with Android 10 (for another month or two)
Requires a SIM card (will fix in future)
Requires Phone Permission (will fix in future)
Due to security, will not run on rooted devices
To see Deals in the mobile shopping list, first transfer them to the fridge shopping list from the fridge Deals app.
The following permissions are required for the app service. For optional permissions, the default functionality of the service is turned on, but not allowed.
[Required Access Permission]
- Phone: Required to call the service center
- Contacts: Registered Samsung Account information will be used to provide services that require account linking
- Storage: Required to provide cloud-connected features
[Optional Access Permission]
- Microphone: Needed to record voice for Memo and Whiteboard
